A while ago, after someone has asked me to teach him tarot, I created a short “basic” guide to it and then published for others. The reason I’d written it was that I’ve never been able to find a straightforward guide that I could point others to when they asked me.
The problem with many of them is that, like many similar books, they either make things more difficult than they need to be, rely on obscure language and ideas to sound more esoteric than necessary, or assume that readers already know certain things that they actually don’t. In other words, they tend to follow the same pattern that philosophical, political, and academic writing follows.
The response to that initial basic guide was quite positive, and soon you can have in your hands a full version of it. It’s called “A People’s Guide to Tarot: A Primer for Everyone.”
From the official release announcement:
A People’s Guide To Tarot: A Primer for Everyone is exactly what it claims to be. Rather than the dense and obscure language of most guides to magic and divination, A People’s Guide to Tarot shows how the skill of reading cards — and the mindset that comes with it — is available to everyone.
A People’s Guide To Tarot includes clear and broadly-accessible explanations of card meanings, tips for learning how to ask the right questions, and multiple ways of understanding the relationships between the cards and the reader.
It will release on 1 September, 2024, and as usual, you can order it before its release date at a significant discount.
