Empires Crumble
A shameless plug for something amazing
I’ve had two favorite t-shirts in my life.
The first was a Crass t-shirt I wrestled off some guy who was most definitely not a punk and so I decided he didn’t deserve it. I was 24, and it was my birthday party, and he was the boyfriend of a woman I invited, and he said he didn’t know who Crass even was. And because I wanted it, and because it was my birthday, he agreed to wrestle me for it. And I won, and also later she broke up with him because he was gay and I was hardly the only guy he’d wrestled at parties.
Anyway, I wore that shirt to pieces, as one does, and it took me a decade to find another shirt I liked that much. Finally, I found it a few days after moving briefly to Eugene, Oregon and meeting the absurdly amazing person who’d I eventually flee the US to France with, Alley Valkyrie.
Alley’s really brilliant, and she makes some incredible things, and when I saw one particular design she screen-printed on t-shirts, I knew my search for a new favorite t-shirt was over and I wouldn’t even need to wrestle her for it.
I think I’ve had four different shirts of that design, and each one wore out completely. And tragically, because Alley doesn’t screen print t-shirts currently, I’ve been pretty lost without a favorite t-shirt.
Until this morning. See, I kinda forgot I could just ask Alley if I could license the design and sell them through Sul Books and give her a cut of every sale. And then I remembered I could, and the samples arrived this morning:
So, now I can just order these as often as I want.
So can you.
Currently, there are two styles available, an athletic cut and a men’s tank top, in several colors. Women-specific cuts are coming, too (my insanely attractive gym coach has agreed to model them for me since, well, you understand).
Want one? Yeah. You really do.
They ship globally, are available in several colors, and you get a 10% discount (automatically added at checkout).

I had the Yes Sir, I Will shirt from Crass. Wore the hell out of it. I really like this Empires Crumble design. Thanks to you & Alley for bringing it out.
