Sorry for the brief publicity intermission to my regular writing, but I wanted to let you know about a course some of you might deeply appreciate.
It’s called Land: Loss & Reconnection, and it was designed and is instructed by Alley Valkyrie. Alley and I co-founded the publisher I currently direct (Gods&Radicals Press//Ritona), and we also hosted a podcast (Empires Crumble) together for several years (and will hopefully pick that up again soon).
Briefly about the course itself: it’s about the history of land relations and a longer view of Enclosure, colonialism, displacement, and land-as-commodity. She also addresses spiritual aspects of land (similar to one of the chapters in my recent book, Being Pagan), including topics such as ancestry and spirits of land.
The course starts this Sunday, 26 June, and there are still spaces open for more participants. Enrollment is sliding scale, also.
