I’ve a few updates for you about what you can expect from this substack over the coming months and some other things.
The Mysteria
As you might know, I’ve been doing research much of this year for a new manuscript on political theology and capitalism, based on my essay series, The Mysteria. I’m still researching for this — currently reading a history of the European transition to Christianity in the early middle-ages — and am getting a much better idea of what the manuscript will focus on. I’ll have another essay in the series later this month.
Other-Song
This week’s installment of my novel-in-progress will be delayed to later this week. I’ll also be creating an epub of the first 5 chapters for those who’d like to catch up and prefer to read in this manner.
The Re/al/ign:
I’ll be focusing much more on creating new episodes of The Re/al/ign this winter and spring. Recordings took a hiatus while I tried to figure out an obnoxious technical problem that was causing audio not to sync with videos, causing me to need upwards of 6 extra hours of editing before release. That problem is now fixed.
I just released a free-to-all episode with Dan Evans, and I’ve already recorded one with Anthony Galuzzo which will release this coming week. I’ve also got Daniel Tutt as an upcoming guest, and I’d really love your input on who you’d like me to talk with. Please leave your suggestions in the comments.
Book Sales
Repeater Books, the publisher of my book Here Be Monsters, is having a 50% off sale through their website until 25 December with code Festive50. While there, consider also picking up A Nation of Shopkeepers by Dan Evans.
Also, Ritona, the publisher of all seven of my previous books, is also having a 25% off sale on all titles until the end of the year with code 2023.
Telegram Channel
I’ve created a Telegram broadcast channel for readers of this substack. It will be occasionally updated (likely two to three times a week) with interesting links, pictures of the land around my village and my garden, some gym selfies, and short, personal videos.
A Last Note
Thanks again for all your support of my work, and for all your many comments. Sorry I’ve been quite behind on responding to the many emails and comments from you all — I plan to take an afternoon this week to catch up.
If you’re not yet a paid subscriber, you can still take advantage of the 20% off discount. That ends 1 January.
And if you think someone might like From The Forests of Arduinna as a gift, there’s a way for you to give that to them:
Be well!
—Rhyd
Ah, that's one Yule gift just sorted via the Repeater website. Cheers!
Rhyd, I'd be really interested to know what you are thinking about Paul Cudenec's current focus on Marxism?
