Three brief updates

Just a few things I thought you'd like to know. :)

Hey, hope you’re all well!

Wanted to let you know three things briefly.

First of all, I have just unlocked my episode with Edward Butler to the public. Substack has an option where you can schedule unlocking posts, but apparently I set it wrong. Now it’s available to everyone, and sorry for the mistake. Thanks to everyone who asked me when this would happen.

Secondly, I wanted to remind you that I’ll be instructing my course on Being Pagan in a couple of weeks. It’s likely the only time I’ll offer it this year, as I’m working on several new projects that will take up a lot of time. Each week covers a specific chapter of the book, and I make a video lecture (usually from a forest, nearby shrine, or other interesting place) for each chapter.

I really enjoy this course, and especially love the interactions with people. If you’d like to be involved in this course, do consider enrolling. It’s sliding scale, and founding supporters of my substack can enroll for free (just send me an email to set this up).

And third, I wanted to let those of you who are interested in paganism and witchcraft know about a really great book we’ve got coming out via Ritona on 1 May, 2024. It’s by Asa West, and it’s called The Witch’s Kin: Deepening Your Relationship With Nature, Spirit, and Humankind. Asa is the author of one of our best selling books, and is really one of the kindest people you’ll meet. The book is about using the frame of kinship for relating to the world, not just in its magical sense but in its material sense as well. While editing it, I was especially impressed with the part of the book that talks about human relationships, as there’s quite a lot in her framing that helps get past the constant “us vs them” model of political and social activism that is crushing us all.
