And you have a compelling reading voice! I minored in French though never had occasion to really try speaking it, so I very much enjoyed hearing your brief introduction.
That was great! Very interesting. I only hope this rekindling of our half-forgotten ways is done mostly in a renewed way and not a desperate reactionary one. As can often happen when we feel like we need to "go back" and run the clocks backwards (which is impossible), a rediscovery of the old can become an awkward thing. Figuring that out, how to reconcile with our time and conditions, is going to be a challenge, but I've got hope.
Listened to it as even reading from my 27 inch curved monitor is becoming difficult. Had to turn up my hearing aid a well. You have a very good speaking voice as well so that helps understand the words that you write and speak. I don't read everything that your write only because reading is becoming more and more difficult. I gave up books an newspapers for the same reason.
This is so beautiful, chilling yes, but also potent, it brought tears to my eyes. It reminded me of Peter Grey's "Rewilding Witchcraft," almost as if your words are in conversation with Grey's essay. I love it, thank you for sharing.
