Beautiful. I love your description of

"a sense that I could still be who I am and what I want to be despite the power of the state to limit us" - I think my journey over the past two years has been characterised by finding new ways to keep making that true.

Your mention of magic happening in liminal spaces reminded me of the permaculture principle of the most life happening in the intersections between one ecosystem and another. And of Iona, that "thin place". Thanks!

Beautiful article, I've always noticed that also when I travel, went to California alone back in March to visit my Son Brandon who lives there. It was surreal and wonderful to travel alone out to CA and on the train back. Quite a wonderful experience. I always enjoy reading about your travels and adventures Rhyd

If the future goes in the direction he anticipates, resistance to it will unite a very varied group of people, people often at odds with each other now.

When visiting a new country, city, place, I love taking the local bus to my in town destinations. To get an inside sense of the people, situations and sights that happen in the ‘different to me realm’ add such pertinent layers in my visiting experience.
