I feel you on the war. It's so incredibly frustrating. I was in Afghanistan and this is like watching a new generation get PTSD they don't even know is coming.

I often find the same feeling, I don't really want to be creatively engaging with it, and yet it consumes me. There is a book of WW1 poets called "Muse of Fire" and I think that's basically what it is for me.

Luxembourg isn't anti-natal, it's just part of a broader western trend towards much smaller families which has been going on for decades. Indeed the government is pretty generous with benefits to families although high housing costs are an issue. But even if the government provided affordable housing to everyone it's unlikely the birth rate would increase much.

There may be no one animist who is alike, but you know one when you see one.

I tried to introduce a bog spirit to a Wiccan two decades ago. Reminding them that this was an old friend who was quite shy. I am not sure they wanted to see that being in a relationship with spirits means you are in a relationship with spirits. It took some time for them to finally meet them.

Yeah, a lot of the Pagan community in Canada is more concerned with doing ceremony "right" than with why it is right, and who is it right for. They use or sing the words of connection, as if they were an Anglican hymn.

However, by holding a workshop at the big festival specifically for those who wanted to share stories and insights of healing people, I found a group of maybe 10 people actively working with spirit world.

That festival had over a thousand people there, maybe 1500 in some years "before COVID".

Because I am so open about what being what I think you mean by an "Animist", I have found quite a few others.

Yeah, Wiccans can be focused on the ceremonies and less on the connections. Some of them, maybe many of them, not all.

There are active animists on Tumblr. One calls herself a priestess of Aphrodite.

As far as I can tell, there are many in Reclaiming who actually understand what they are doing.

Years ago I took what was called "psychic" classes, for maybe 5 years, with a ton of info and connections to spirit world people. I found it matched something I grew up with but did not name or understand. I slowly became more involved with it, and learned more from reading and asking questions of the spirits.

So I can sorta see that dancing smiling face near you and that plank.

Thanks for the reminder that we all need to see, pay attention, and relax into it.

Ah, thank you yet again for confirmations reminding me not to overthink and Trust, both mySelf and the UnSeen, and that despite *all the things* there is a Deeper reality that has existed way longer than these particular 'empires'. xo
