As a suppressive person, excuse me, an oppressive person (white cis female) I have for quite some time been at a loss for what to do next. I've been told via social media activists that wanting to "do something" is a symptom of my whiteness. I've concluded that either I need to be in a constant state of repentance, a perpetual receptacle for the traumas of those less privileged than me. But...is that it? Really? I guess I can do that, but I'm not sure how it helps.
Also, what you've done in one of your paragraphs is a new New Math (regular math being racist, apparently) in which we are meant to perform algebra on ourselves, although nobody quite knows what value to place on the variables.
Your posts make me feel grounded again. "Does this materially help someone?" is perhaps the most useful metric to use.
