Two notes to paid subscribers

Help me decide what essays to unlock. Also, hardship extensions.

Hey dear awesome people!

You’ll note that I’m finally writing much more frequently again here, and that most of my essays are now paywalled.

To be honest, I can never really figure out a good way to decide which ones should be for free and which ones should be for people who support me. So, I’m going to ask you to decide for me.

In fact, that seems the fairest way to do this. After all, many of you became paid subscribers because you really wanted to read a specific essay. So it seems you should get to have a say in what I make public. Perhaps it’s an essay you really wanted to share with others but the paywall got in the way, or maybe it’s just that you liked it so much you really want others to read it, too.

So, once a month, I’ll send out a poll listing some recent paywalled essays, and I’ll ask you to vote on which one you think I should unlock. In fact, we’ll start now.
